Politician, Nobel Prize Laureate, and mother, Aung San Suu Kyi is the leader of the democratically elected government of Burma, yet has endured house arrest for over a decade. The Black Curtain was inspired by classic film noirs such as Double Indemnity, with language echoing Raymond Chandler and a narrative influenced by contemporary news stories, Angel Exit weave a web of intrigue which is at once glamorously removed from our reality but also frighteningly close. The Dumb Waiter centres around two hit-men awaiting their latest assignment discuss tea, football and news articles while mysterious and seemingly random notes are delivered to our characters through the titular dumb waiter. Who is sending the notes? And what does this latest job hold in store for Ben and Gus?
