FRI 8th February
Breabach
Traditional Music

Scottish firebrands Breabach are one of the most talked about new acts on the scene. Their innovative celtic style, blending double bagpipes, fiddle, whistle and guitar, has won them acclaim with audiences at home and abroad.
Breabach are commended not just for their strathspeys and reels but also for their sympathetic treatment of traditional songs and slower melodies. This powerful sound, combined with the flare, fun and excitement created when they take to the stage, led to them winning a Danny Kyle Open Stage Award in 2005 and more recently, a nomination for 'Best Up and Coming Artist' at the 2006 Scots Trad Music Awards.
January 2007 will see the launch of their debut album 'The Big Spree' on Vertical Records. An album that is testament to their shared passion, commitment and skill and sure to make a big impact. Great music and fabulous entertainment; don't miss Breabach!!
